An Interest Based Approach

Children learn best when they are engaged and interested in their play situation. We structure our activities to help our young learners to develop in a safe and caring environment – individually and in groups.

Early Years Learning Framework

Our program at Dundas is centred on the individual child and it’s family and is guided by a national framework. We base our program on the following 5 learning outcomes:

Confidence

A confident and involved learner

Identity

A robust sense of identity

Communication

An effective communicator

Connect & Contribute

A connection with the world and the ability to contribute

Wellbeing

A strong sense of wellbeing

Integrating the above outcomes into our learning framework makes for a holistic and well-rounded experience for the early stages of your child’s development. Each child is different and we believe it is important to provide guidance and assistance that allows your child to develop in their own unique way.

Like many other leading Australian childcare centres, Dundas ELC uses Storypark to provide personalised learning never seen before.
Storypark helps teachers, children and families to improve understanding of each child’s interests and abilities so they receive even better support, to deepen relationships and strengthen communication between Dundas ELC and your family, to share videos, photos and text capturing children’s learning and development and to reinforce experiences and deepen children’s learning.

We love Storypark – and you will too! In fact, a recent survey found that 70% of parents were more likely to send their child to a centre that offered it.

What do we love about Storypark?

Storypark connects children, facilitators and families like never before – opening up whole new ways of communicating a child’s learning journey. Parents and caregivers can see how their child is progressing, what kind of learning interests them and where some more attention may be given.
